Looks like im selling suiseiseki. me and her, we didnt really bond and I feel really bad about it specially as she was one of my grail dolls, but since seeing Emilie the tinyfairy on minoruworld i've thought of nothing else and as such I need funds to afford her.  im already getting rid of my box sets of fruits basket and my copy of legend of dragoon.  Ive sold some wii games and hopefully a few walkthrough guides.  I need to rustle up 200 pounds as i found someone on DoA with one to sell who will sell it to me...so suiseiseki is going to have to go im afraid *waves buh bye to doll sadly* you can check her out here....

Blake has arrived. Death by cuteness ensues

Blake. I realise is a guys name, but its the name that my little orientdoll vampire ji wanted. I wasnt about to argue with her since even though shes tiny, she scares me a little. She doesnt have any clothes yet I wasnt anticipating just how teeny she was. She came with a wig but im waiting for her proper one to come hopefully within the next couple of days.

Also some of these photos may offend people. Theyre quite gorey (its all fake severed barbie/ken parts but quite realistic looking). So I would suggest if you have a weak constitution dont really look beyond the first couple of pictures. You have been warned:o:o

Okay now for the gorey ones okay. Seriously dont look if you dont like blood, even if it is fake.... shes a vampire...she cant help herself.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL MY FRIENDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1940's, 50's, 60's and early 70's!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses made of asbestos.  They took aspirin, ate blue cheese, raw egg products, loads of bacon and processed meat, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer.

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright colored lead-based paints.  We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.  We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.  Take away food was limited to fish and chips, no pizza shops, McDonalds, KFC, Subway or Nanchos.  Even though all the shops closed at 6.00pm and didn't open on the weekends, somehow we didn't starve to death!

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.  We could collect old drink bottles and cash them in at the corner store and buy Toffees, Gobstoppers, Bubble Gum and some bangers to blow up frogs with.  We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.  We would spend hours building our go-carts out of old prams and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes.  We built tree houses and dens and played in river beds with matchbox cars.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo Wii, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 999 channels on SKY, no DVD's, films, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.  Only girls had pierced ears!  We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.  You could only buy Easter Eggs and Hot Cross Buns at Easter time...

We were given air guns and catapults for our 10th birthdays; we rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!  Mum didn't have to go to work to help dad make ends meet!

Hurling and GAA had tryouts and not everyone made the team.  Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! Getting into the team was based on MERIT
Our teachers used to hit us with canes and gym shoes and bully's always ruled the playground at school.  The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.  They actually sided with the law!  Our parents didn't invent stupid names for their kids like 'Kiora' and 'Blade' and 'Ridge' and 'Vanilla'

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!  And YOU are one of them! CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good.  And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave their parents were.

PS -The big type is because your eyes are not too good at your age anymore :)

Ive just been having a really good time with my friend stella.  Shes much older than me, quite a deal older than my husband but shes really awesome for a number of reasons.  The main one being that she makes dolls.  I spoke to her a couple of days ago asking her if i could pick her brains over how to make doll furniture for my doll story is about to get really complicated and i need to start making props and a proper space to take pictures from.  She showed me all the dolls she had made and how organised she had to be to keep everything tidy and sorted.  Im going to have to do that too.  But i showed her holly and she fell in love.  So i think shes going to end up with a pullip or two.
But it was nice speaking to someone passionate about dolls too.  I guess it must be like my husband with me when he talks about trains.  I listen to him and I understand what he says but I dont get it in the same way as if he had the same conversation with his train friends.  so its nice to have someone living less than 5 minutes walk away who can give me hints and tips.  She also makes dolls houses and she showed me her dolls houses and they were stunning. one had a little green grocers shop with a seamstress shop upstairs with a little push pedal sewing machine that actually worked but it couldnt have been more than 3 inches high.  So intricate so perfectly detailed im in love.
Im trading in some of my home made stuff along with some of the clothing I dont want for a new doll.  It feels good getting stuff i want by trading stuff i dont want or have made.  It makes it feel like ive earned it.  Do you want to see my new girl, or at least what she could eventually end up looking like.  I dont have the outfit and her current eyes are purple and she has no hair yet
She is teeny tiny. Shes an oriental doll Ji My pullips are 12" heres her stats
* Tall : 4.65inch
* Eye size : 6-8mm
* Circumference of Head : 3.9inch
* Circumference of Neck : 1.4inch
* Circumference of Chest : 2.55inch
* Width of Shoulders : 1.25inch
* Length of "From Shoulder to Elbow" : 0.7inch
* Length of "From Elbow to Wrist" : 0.5inch
* Length of "From Shoulder to Waist" : 0.8inch
* Circumference of Waist : 2.8inch
* Circumference of Hips : 3inch
* Circumference of Wrist : 0.9inch
* Length of "From Knee to Foot" : 1.3inch
* Foot size : 0.6inch

Teeny huh.  Im not getting her with any clothes or wigs or anything and I really want blue eyes for her teeny tiny 6mm eyes thats not even a centimetre big.  I dont know what her name is yet.  Heres a picture of what she could potentially look like.  Warning though I know youve seen cute stuff on this site before but this may be cuteness overload.  I think though shes going to be the smallest of all my dolls I think shes going to end up with the biggest attitude.  Shes a vampire dontcha know so whilst she looks like a little girl shes actually been round a really long time so knows heaps.  least thats how i see her but she may be completely different by the time she gets to me.

ARRRGH I have to be patient now.  hows a girl supposed to be patient like this.  Its driving me mad

Hey there.  My names sam and you may have seen me from such forums as ....

pullipstyle.com/resource/index.php (my names sammy there)
pullip.pinky-street.com/index.php (and there as well)
http://z3.invisionfree.com/Dolly_Market/ (im samigurumi there)
www.angel-unlimited.co.uk/forum/index.php (there you'll find me as samigurumi as well)

They all have one thing in common...well actually they have loads of things in common, excellent people, well thought out arguments...but mostly they're about dolls.  I discovered dolls a couple of months back...again thats wrong, i didnt discover dolls i knew they existed my parents always tried to make me play with them as a kid, but truth be told as a child all i wanted to do was climb trees and play in mud.  But a few months back i stumbled on papin.  Papin is a pullip doll and she is exactly what i would be if i had more self confidence and a pretty body.  I fell in love with her instantly and believe me thats a pretty odd thing to do considering i didnt like dolls.  I had to have her.  She turned up on july the 7th and i had been scared i wouldnt like her after my impulse buy but I loved her intensly and named her holly.

I changed her wig eventually but that was all and her personality really shone through

Well the whole point to this livejournal will be to keep you uptodate on hollys life. Its now shared with 2 other pullips, a bait stica that i customised completely and named nina, and a suiseiseki which i've named mint.
, there will hopefully be links and stuff to re-ments and bjds (for i hope to own a lati yellow one day) and there, of course, will be my picfic called pullip prophecies.    Hopefully i'll make some friends here cause that would be awesome.

*waves at new people*
